Basketball World Cup 2027

Doha, Qatar, 27 August to 12 September 2027. Thirty-two teams, four arenas, one city.

The basketball World Cup goes to Doha in 2027, the first time the tournament is held in the Arab world and the largest edition ever staged in a single city. Thirty-two teams play across four arenas within about 25 minutes of each other, so fans can watch two or three games a day without leaving town.

The final is at Lusail Arena on 12 September. The tournament also decides direct qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, which raises the stakes for the leading nations. For travelling fans, a single-city World Cup is the easiest of all to plan: one base, one set of transport, no internal flights.

Register your interest and we will send ticket and travel detail as it is confirmed.

One city, four arenas

Every game is in Doha, across Lusail Arena, Duhail Arena, Al Attiyah Arena and Al Janoub Arena, the last converted from a 2022 football World Cup stadium. All four sit within roughly 25 minutes of each other on the Doha Metro. That makes this the simplest World Cup to attend: one hotel, one city, multiple games a day through the group stage.

When to plan

Dates are confirmed, 27 August to 12 September 2027. As a compact single-city event in a destination with limited peak-season hotel stock, accommodation is the scarce resource, more than match tickets. Register below and we will tell you the moment tickets and travel packages open.

Booked as one trip, not five

The official ticket site sells you a ticket. It does not book your flights, find accommodation near the right ground, sort the internal travel between host cities, or handle it when a fixture moves. We do.

World Cup Travel is operated by Letz Travel, an IATA accredited agency arranging sport and event travel since 2009. We are an independent travel agent, not a ticket reseller, which means we build the whole trip around your match and book it in one place: flights, accommodation, internal travel and match tickets through the right sale window. IATA accreditation number 9684463

That is the reason to register. We tell you when each piece becomes buyable, and we assemble it so you are not chasing tickets, flights and hotels in three separate scrambles.
